Welcome to Manga Be

It takes 30 to 40 minutes to reach the small residential area which adjoins the beach.

Make yourself at home.

Settle into your room, take a dip in the pool, just before having lunch within the residence, or 100m further on, by the sea in front of the Radama Islands Resort fleet. Recharge your batteries after the trip, acclimatise to the tropical humidity of ‘l’île aux parfums’, then deploy and prepare your equipment with the help of the skippers… go fishing the next morning!

The whole team is on hand to make your arrival in Madagascar as pleasant as possible.

Departure

You will only leave with what you need for the first day of fishing, all the rest of your belongings will be taken care of and placed in your bungalow at Radama Islands Resort well before your arrival.

At 07:30, the boats are ready to leave for the archipelago of Radama. The first day of fishing lets you experience a multitude of areas located along the 100km that separates Antanimora from Nosy Be. Distance covered in a journey which consists more or less of following the deserted coasts of “the mainland”, Madagascar.

Arrival at Radama

The areas exploited during this outing will not be used again until the last day, which is dedicated to the return to Nosy Be. Far from being a simple trip to the archipelago, the crossing has many advantages and excellent results are regularly recorded!
Every day, coolers loaded with cold drinks, fruit and cooked meals will be placed on board the boat.

5.30 pm, arrival on the island, getting in touch with the environment, the uniqueness and beauty of the bay, and very often, the brief appearance of a turtle which comes up to the surface for air.

Dinner will be taken at the restaurant of the Radama fishing camp, allowing you, among other things, to taste the fruits of your fishing.

A crew at your service

From 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day; 10 hours spent fishing in the tropics can be exhausting… This is why, once you arrive back at Radama Islands Resort each evening, all your equipment will be taken care of by the crew. Rinsed, dried, then stored in a room after each trip, your rods, lures, tools, and fishing luggage will find their place on board the next morning. Inspected daily, if a scuffed braid or chipped leader may have gone unnoticed the night before, it will be replaced before start-up the next morning. (On-site, do not hesitate to consult the camp managers to book a night outing!)

You will spend your 6th and last day of fishing on the axes practiced during your first outing – on the large banks and drop-offs which border the fabulous Nosy Iranja – to prospect the multitude of GPS points recorded along the immense plateau that runs along the coast of Northwestern Madagascar. After this final fishing trip over, you will return to the rooms you occupied on your first night in Manga Be. The last drink, final meal, last evening, and last night full of fisher men’s dreams… We will take you back, the next day, to Nosy Be airport…
